Custom GRP Walkway Installed Above Laboratory Tanks
The GRP access system sits inside a research building currently under development. Positioned 2 metres above the ground, the walkway spans three GRP tanks with a combined length of more than 15 metres. The 1.5‑metre‑wide aluminium walkway delivers a durable, corrosion‑resistant structure that allows users to move safely above the tanks.
So we could meet current access equipment regulations, the system includes 1100 mm‑high handrails. An inclined staircase at one end of the platform gives operatives safe, controlled access.
Durable GRP Open‑Mesh Flooring for Chemical‑Resistant Performance
We selected GRP open‑mesh grating for its excellent resistance to water and chemical ingress—an essential requirement in laboratory environments. High‑strength “M” clips secure the flooring panels to aluminium cross‑members, to ensure long‑term stability and performance.
Modular Access Platform Fabricated in the UK
Our facility in Mold, North Wales, manufactured every component of this modular aluminium walkway. We the system was delivered flat‑packed to suit the restricted installation space, this helped efficient transport and rapid on‑site assembly.
Engineered to Navigate Complex Laboratory Infrastructure
We designed the walkway to integrate seamlessly with the new laboratory installation. in order to meet the client’s exact requirements, our engineers developed a layout that navigates a complex area containing multiple pipes and fixed features. Bespoke components allow the walkway to pass around these obstacles without disrupting ongoing operations.
