This month, Jasper Products completed another GRP access platform installation—a 200-meter-long raised walkway made from Glass Reinforced Plastic. The train access system will help the local team carry out a full refurbishment of several southeastern rolling stock over the next two years. The raised platform will allow staff to safely and efficiently remove train interiors and replace them with updated components.

The two 5-meter-long access ramps positioned either end of the 200 m walkway were built to make it easy for wheeled trolleys to move up and down. This makes it simple to remove old equipment and deliver new parts to the right carriage for replacement. The platform is 1.5 meters wide and provides enough space for both operators and equipment to pass safely. It also allows tools and equipment to be stored neatly without the risk of operators tripping or falling over equipment.
The access system was manufactured in our factory in Mold, Flint-shire and installed by our staff within 2 weeks. The fabrication was delivered on time and installed on schedule to meet the clients start date.
